Kashi Honey Almond Flax Crunch Cereal

What’s up fellow foodies! I finally tried one of Kashi’s cereals this morning after hearing so much about it. I only bought one box just in case I didn’t like it. Since I love honey and almonds, I decided to go for the Honey Almond Flax Crunch Cereal.

Um, let me go ahead and say that this cereal is dangerous and I think the makers of this cereal should warn consumers. One, the clusters are very sharp and if you aren’t careful, it can cut into your gums or jaw. Two, because the clusters are irregular and sharp, you can easily get choked on them which is exactly what happened to me. I also broke a piece of my tooth filling eating this hard as rocks cereal!

How can a cereal that is supposed to be good for you tear up your mouth and hurt your teeth? I’m sorry, but I hate this cereal and I won’t be eating any more of it. I’ve tried healthy cereals in the past, but this by far is the worst. To each their own on this one. I’m throwing the whole box away. I could have saved my $5.00.

No Bueno Taco Bell

What’s up fellow foodies! Today was not a very good day for this foodie. I went to Taco Bell earlier today to grab a bite to eat and I’m paying for it in the worst way. In a way, I brought it on myself.

I ordered the #11 combo, Doritos Locos Taco Supreme in Cool Ranch with a Baja Blast. I’ve ordered this in the past so I didn’t think it was a big deal. When I was finally able to dive into my tacos, I noticed they didn’t smell right; they didn’t taste right either. Still, like a fool, I ate them any way because I was hungry. That was dumb. Why did I do that????

About two hours later, I started feeling nauseous so I chewed two Nauzene tablets. Soon after that, my stomach started cramping and bubbling. Can you guess what I’m dealing with now? Explosive diarrhea! I’ve been rocking my toilet hard!!!! I know, I know too much information, but I’m trying to save y’all from making the same foolish mistake I did. I’m a prime example of when being greedy goes terribly wrong. I knew better!

I’ve learned my lesson, trust me. Never again. No matter how hungry I am, if the food don’t taste right, I’m not going to eat it. You don’t want to be paying for it later like I am. Y’all pray for me. It’s bad!!! Ooooh weeeee it’s bad. SMH. Taco Bell, you did me dirty today.

A Dinner Meal Under $20

What’s up fellow foodies! I accepted a challenge to make a healthy meal for under $20 and you know what? I did just that. The grand total came to $18.67. I got $1.33 back in cha change! 💵 Boo-yah! Seeing how I’m a lover of seafood, I wanted to try something different. I went the Caribbean route with my meal. Check it out.

What you are looking at is Caribbean style shrimp with Caribbean style rice (by Zatarains) and fresh garlic butter asparagus with lemon. It was soooooooo delicious. I shocked my own self by how good it turned out. I can definitely see myself making this again in the future. What about you? Have any of you made an amazing meal lately that was under $20? If so, what was it?

Pop Corners!

What’s up fellow foodies! I have a tasty treat for you if you are a big snacker like myself. I recently discovered that I like air popped popcorn after trying a particular brand sold at the Dollar Tree. At my local Dollar Tree, which also happens to be one of my favorite stores, they were selling Pop Corners in two flavors: Jalapeño Cheddar and White Cheddar. Hammercy! I was not expecting such an intense level of flavor. I was totally blown away!

The best part about this incredible snack is that it contains no GMOs, it’s certified gluten-free and it was only $1.00. Sounds like a win, win, win situation if you ask me. If you have a Dollar Tree in your area, please give Pop Corners a try. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
