Sonic’s Philly Cheese Steak

What’s up fellow foodies! I finally got a chance to try Sonic’s new Philly Cheese Steak. I’ve been seeing it advertise for a while now and decided to give it a try. I’m a big fan of Philly Cheese Steaks so I couldn’t pass this up. Here’s a pic of it straight out of the wrapper:

Overall, I thought it was a pretty good Philly Cheese Steak for it to come out of a fast food drive-thru. The meat was finely shredded, which is just how I like it, and it was loaded with onions. Yum. The only thing I would do differently the next time I get one is to get it without mayonnaise. I didn’t care for the mayo. Other than that, it was pretty good. The next time you are at Sonic, give it a try.

Zaxby’s

What’s up fellow foodies! Today I decided to try a salad at one of my favorite fast food chains, Zaxby’s. This week hasn’t been the best week for me in terms of trying different fast foods, but today marks the second bright spot this week.

Zaxby’s offers four types of salads: House, Caesar, The Cobb and The Blue. You can get them topped with either grilled chicken or fried chicken. I of course went with the fried cobb salad and as far as the dressing, blue cheese baby!!! Blue cheese all the wayyyyyy! This is what it looked like before I picked out the hard pieces of fried chicken.

And this is what it looked like after I picked out the hard bits of chicken and ate the toast. Sorry guys, I was hungry.

Overall, the fried cobb salad wasn’t too bad. The veggies were so fresh and I only had to remove a couple of hard pieces of chicken. As far as the taste, it was pretty good. I think within the next month or two, I’ll try the Caesar next. Give one of their salads a try the next time you stop at Zaxby’s.

Panda Express

What’s up fellow foodies! This week has been a bust and a little rough for this foodie. Every new restaurant I’ve tried this week has either been average or horrible. On top of that, I got food poisoning from Taco Bell. Peep my post from yesterday. It hasn’t even been two weeks since I started this blog and my foodie experiences have sucked for the most part. That leads me to Panda Express.

Today, I decided to try Panda Express after hearing so many people talk about it. I decided to order the Panda Bowl with Beijing Beef and Chow Mein. I’ve been hearing how good the Beijing Beef is and I wanted to try it. As soon as I opened it to snap a picture, I wasn’t too thrilled with what I saw. They could’ve kept that. See what I got for yourself:

The beef was overcooked because it was a little tough, the sauce had way too much vinegar and tomato paste and the chow mein was chewy! Good Gawd Almighty! I didn’t like it one bit and I’m not ashamed to say I threw the whole bowl away. Never again and I do mean never. Whoever the cooks were today, they did me dirty. I could’ve kept my $7.00.

Milo’s

What’s up fellow foodies! I went to Milo’s for lunch on my lunch break and decided to blog briefly about my experience. I ordered the cheese burger combo with extra onions (I love onions) and light on the sauce.

The fries were actually pretty good, but the burger was okay. I was honestly expecting more flavor, sadly I didn’t get that. Maybe that’s what they depend on the sauce for. It’s a good thing I ordered extra onions or else my cheese burger would’ve been really bland.

Overall, the meal was average. It wasn’t too terrible, but it wasn’t all that good either. The fries were the best part of my meal.

Steak ‘N Shake Burgers

What’s up fellow foodies! I tried Steak ‘N Shake today after hearing my friends talk so much about this place. I ordered combo #15, the single steak burger with bacon, parmesean fries and a coke. I was starving by the time I got to the drive-thru so I went ahead and snapped a quick picture of the fries. I was going to eat those on the way home. Yeah, I’m greedy like that.

The parmesean fries were pretty good as evident by the empty fry holder. Your girl was starving. I wolfed down those fries within two minutes. That’s how hungry I was.

The burger? Eh, it wasn’t all that good. To me, it tasted like your average burger. There were no bells and whistles on this one. Nothing special at all about what I ordered. I thought it was going to be good. This burger had little to no seasoning on it and that’s a shame.

The next time I try Steak ‘N Shake it won’t be a burger. Instead, I’ll try one of their shakes. Maybe that would be much better. I sure hope so for my sake and for theirs. I could’ve keep my $7.00.

Arby’s Loaded Italian Sandwich

What’s up fellow foodies! I went to Arby’s today on my lunch break and decided to try their loaded italian sandwich combo. Let me just go ahead and say that I wasn’t thrilled. I was hoping that this sandwich would have packed some flavor, but sadly it did anything but that.

20181015_113006.jpg

Arby’s loaded italian sandwich was something I could have made at my own house; it would have tasted much better compared to what I got. The sandwich wasn’t “loaded” at all and to make matters worse, the veggies watered the sandwich down. You had to eat it pretty fast or else your bread got soggy…

20181015_112920.jpg

The best thing about this combo was the curly fries. They were hot, fresh and made up for what the italian loaded sandwich lacked. This sandwich wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t all that great either. Let’s just say I won’t go back and buy another one.
